The Black Sea Countries Final 2012 tournament ran from 12-19 September in Burgas, Bulgaria. The tournament featured representatives from many countries surrounding the Black Sea: Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Turkey.

Ivan Cheparinov achieved an undefeated score of 7/10 to take an impressive tournament victory.  Top seed Baadur Jobava had a disappointing event, only finishing in fifth place.

Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu and Vladimir Malakhov shared second place with exactly the same score and tie-break scores (number of wins, S-B score, head-to-head result).
