Chess.com University's Chess 024: Opening Repertoire for 1500-1800 ELO Players Part 1, Black vs. 1.e4 course is now available in independent-study format! The live course, which ended recently, taught students a "dragonish" opening repertoire vs. 1.e4.

Please see the older Chess 024 announcements to learn more about this course:

Students may take this course in independent-study format (the live course is already over). Courses in independent-study format are just as useful and learner-friendly as the live courses. The key difference is that instead of "live lectures," as described in the links provided above, students would receive video recordings of the live sessions already taught. Due to timezone issues, most students who took the class live were only able to attend half of the sessions live. However, this never caused any problems.

To compensate for not being able to ask questions live, students can send me emails with questions. Students may work at their own pace and submit the assignments for feedback whenever they want to!

Again, please refer to the links above to learn more about the Chess 024 course. In the older descriptions, you will see that 5 hours of live lectures were included in the course. Instead, students received almost 7 hours of live instruction! Though, we had just one written lecture instead of two because I preferred teaching the content live!

I made Chess 024 available in the independent-study format due to popular demand just like I did for the previous courses: Chess 012, 013, and 014. This is your chance to experience Chess.com University at its finest!
