GM Nepomniachtchi Wins 2008 Aeroflot Open

The Aeroflot Open took place from February 14-22, 2008 in Moscow, Russia. GM Ian Nepomniachtchi won the event with an impressive score of 7/9 and a performance rating of 2822! 

Now lets take a look at one of Nepomniachtchi's key victories which led him to win the event. Here is GM Nepomniachtchi - GM Dreev from round 3 with full annotations and commentary:

blacks mistake was not to develop his bishops early enough, therefore helpless against the doubled pawns, and no real threats on the queen.

Good game. I think I would have waited on the castle and played 18. Qd7 then wait to see if black would slip.

Just pointing out - there's a mistake in the very last commentary. The pawn move allows the king a square on h2, not h3. Although it appears like an escape square, if black played Qf3+ and white "escaped" to h3, then Qh1#
