Hammertime At The 30th Andorra Open

The winner of the recently completed 30th International Andorra Open was a familiar name to Chess.com members!

A certain GM Jon Ludvig Hammer took first place on superior tie-breaks after four players finished with a score of 7 points.

A total of 146 players took part in the 9-round Swiss competition from 21 - 29 July.

Last year's winner Kiril Georgiev was placed second, with Miguel Illescas Cordoba third.

    @RuralRob It's mainly because I'm busy with school. My one year of economics helped me do a thorough cost-benefit-analysis, and I came to the conclusion that I should stick to school this time.

    But do note that in addition to Magnus and I missing, none of the other Norwegian GMs want to participate either - not even when Magnus and I play (as seen in Khanty-Mansiysk two years ago).
