Gata Kamsky won the Grenke Rapid World Championship at the 2010 Chess Classic Mainz.

After the first day there were 12 players on a perfect 5/5 score, but only Kamsky made it to 8/8, helped by crucial wins against Lev Aronian and Sergey Karjakin. 

Kamsky won against Kasmdzhanov to make it 9/9 before taking 2 draws to seal the title with a score of 10/11.

The large chasing pack was headed by Gashimov, Aronian and Bareev, half a point behind.

World Champion Vishy Anand completed his 40-board simultaneous exhibition with 34 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses. Congratulations to Henrik Karlzen and Bernd Grill on beating the champion!

Women's World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk did even better in her 20-board Chess960 simul, with 16 wins, 4 draws and no losses!  The official site has a report (in German) with pictures here.
