Good tourny MSC157!    I only wish I had been given as many games....you played 38, I played 34.  Guess it has to be that way with odd numbers of players.   At long last, the end is near.   Doubt I will see you in the finale but I feel good about my first tournament.   Aloha!

So, if marhek wins then there will be 3-way last round. Otherwise head-to-head. Huh.

If I am not mistaken, Russia has eleven time zones, Surely there is a larger difference between China and London depending on what part of China you are talking about. I think I am going to be a roadkill in this tournementYell

Happy Birthday 16th Tournament (1200-1400) Been a long year. My group have hardly moved. I am now following the others by doing moves in the last 30 hours or so. One guy is already on vacation after one move.... I think our group will be the slowest. I don't mind this time, we have a  1700+ and a 2000+ players. As a 1589 contender I am outmatched and scared to death of elimination. To come so far and wait so long and then to be destroyed!

But I shouldn't complain, by rights I should not even be here. I had a rating slump last year and ended up in a lower group than my usual 1400-1600 tourney. Feel sorry for the real 1200-1400 ratings. Anyway good luck to the final 64. We are all pretty good to survive two rounds where only one player can qualify.

Lastly do not be unkind to the guys who time out. It's just that this tourney goes on and on. For all we know, people die before they get the chance to play in the subsequent rounds...

There almost always seems to be one joker in each round who loses all their games on time. Then we have a 2100 player in my round and any bets on who moves on ? !!! Tongue out

There are only 4 players, who are between 1200 and 1400. Good luck to everyone!

We are running a guessing competition on when the game will finish. Please go to the game comments to place your bet. The winner gets to have lunch with Budhigh.

Someone may have asked this already elsewhere, but surely the tournament 'IsRoundComplete' function (guessing on the method name) on this site can be improved to allow for the next round to start if there are no games of consequence remaining as opposed to simply no games remaining ? I.e. no games which can affect who goes through to the next round ? Those of us remaining could have all been playing Round 3 for a month or so by now in this case.

Good luck to you all in Round 3 boys and girls !

I think six weeks is a reasonable projection now. Budhigh's king is going to be chased around the board...
