Games will autostart. The delay is normal because they have to move all the players who have fallen out of range.

I'm just a chess player that learned the game on my own and all of this stuff is unfamiliar teritory however,  it's all a matter of common sense! everything factors in with the tournaments and team play where points and position plays an important role. Some of us have issue about delays, especially the delays that we all know are intentional.  We have to have faith that the fine people that put this all together will use all of our complaints, observations, and concerns, and straighten it all out. In the meantime let's all be patient, { self included } and let chess.com admin., do it's job! Peace out!

I agree with that as well. It's an excellent idea. There's also no problem with tie breakers - whether a game's outcome can or cannot change a group's winner is a calculable mathematical fact.

    hi to all again.

im agree with ChessMarkus , really nice talking. i wish staffs on chess.com use his comment.his comment is valuable and useful for the speed of our tournament and the other official tournaments on chess.com .

in theory that makes sense, however, what may be a problem there is that tie breaker may come into play ansd sometime even the points gained or lost can determine if a player can play in higher rated games, or be demoted to lower level matches. I'm in agreement with you 100%, but there are several things that must be factored in before that system can be implimented...

Just an observation and a suggestion... games which don't have an impact on the next round should not hold up the next round... When it is determined who will be the clear advancer(s) in all sections, then the next round should be started.  Why wait for non-tourney impact games to finish and delay the event.  Any way to for site to configure events to proceed without all games completed if they don't affect who advances?!?!  Just a thought... :)

yes the vacation facility is very useful but there is no denying there are people  who seem to delight in holding  everybody else up especially if they are losing. also i once made the mistake of entering a 14 day a move tourney. my hopelessly lost opponent delighted in  using his full 14 days for every move lol.

sebs42 is right.  And with 1332 players registered, there will be some games that will last a loooong time.  So, be patient, and play other games while you wait.

Let's play the game and act like gentlemen and don't abuse the system other then that good luck to you all.

This tournament allows vacation. The first round may therefore take a year or longer. If you find yourself unable to accept this, the chess.com staff has implemented a special feature for you:

Else, please stay. But do not complain later.

"Win some, lose some", that's what I would say. It's the excitement of starting anew when you lose a game. But the most important thing is to learn from your mistakes, to make note of them. Good luck everyone! ":-)),
