There is one person holding this tournament up, and they are laughing about the inconvenience they are causing, can the TD please kick them out so that we can continue play, this is beyond ridiculous.

So, we're being held up by two players?

Is there anything we can do about this?

I sent a message to the tournament organizer and he said that a few days before the start of the tournament, the rules were changed to allow for vacation time.

I thought this was a QUICK tournment, with moves less than 3 hours/average.

When it says "# Advance: 1" it means only one player will advance to the second round, the one with the best score. From the FAQ:

If 2 players in a group have the same score then both will advance. Tournament Directors can choose to use an additional tie-break method (we use the Neustadtl score) which factors in the strength of the opponents. If two players have the same score and the same Tie Break score, both will advance.

To iceman:  That's exactly what i mean.  Of course, it's much more difficult to win opponents with many points...

As far as i know, this is how it works:  It is used in case two players have the same amount of points.  If this happens then the player with more tiebreak points has an advantage.

To calculate tiebreak points:  You gain tiebreak points every time you win or draw (in the tournament of course).  If you win, you gain as many points as the opponent's score in the tournament.  If you draw, you gain the half of them.

I hope i gave an exploded view of this issue.  Please forgive my bad English...

So, I remember reading that this was a no-vacation tournament.  What happened?
