Maroon5fan's Tournament Group Championship! U1600 Section

Welcome to the long-awaited Group Championship for Maroon5fan's Tournament Group!   This tournament will have two sections: Open and U1600. Open is open to all ratings, whereas the U1600 gives the lower-rated players a chance. THIS IS THE U1600 SECTION. 

The winner of the Open section will be crowned the title Maroon5fan's Tournament Group Champion, and will automatically be made an admin in the group. The winner of the lower group will be crowned U1600 Champion. (To view the Open Section, click here.)

This tournament is only for members of Maroon5fan's Tournament Group, and is by invite only. If you are not a member and would like to participate, you can join the group below, then send me a message requesting an invitation to the tournament.

If you are a member of the group and you have your "accept tournament invites" set to "yes", you should have received an invitation. If you have not and would like to participate, please message me.

The time control in this tournament is 3 days/move with groups of 5 and 2 advancing per group. Vacation time is allowed, but in the interest that the tournament doesn't last too long, please do not abuse it!

Oh, and of course, NO CHEATING. If you suspect one of your opponents or anyone else is cheating, contact me and chess.com support.

As usual, first, second, and third place winners will receive an invitation to the Winner's Championship to compete against other tournament winners to try to snag the title of Champion of Maroon5fan's Tournaments.
