This is a "No Vacation" tournament!
I thought it would be good to hold a tournament for non-members and offer memberships as prizes. Hopefully the winners will get as much out of a membership as I have, and improve their game by making use of some of the great features here on chess.com.
If successful I will run more in the future. For this first one I have set the rating limit to <1500
The prize structure is as follows;
1st Place - Diamond trophy and 1 month Diamond Membership.
2nd Place - Platinum trophy and 1 month Platinum Membership
3rd Place - Gold trophy and 1 month Gold Membership
Goodluck to all. Please play honestly and fairly. Games can be easily checked.

Well, thanks to all who took part. I hope you had fun.
Sorry for the delay, I have had a busy week and failed to notice it had finished. I will sort out the prizes asap.
Apparently the overall leader has had his account closed. It's unfortunate when this sort of thing happens but hopefully it didn't ruin your fun.
The winners are as follows
1st place - Phairsage
3rd place - Dmit & MACCBO
Congratulations to the winners.
As this was my first attempt at this sort of thing, I hadn't worked out what I was going to do in the event of a tie or in the event that someone was banned.
With that in mind, I will award Phairsage the Diamond membership and both Dmit and MACCBO will receive a 1 month platinum as if they were in joint 2nd place.
A further prize of 1 month gold membership will be awarded to Fightnwin as, with the banning, he should be rightlfully 3rd place.
I cannot do anything about the trophies that have been handed out. I apologise for that. The prizes will reflect your true finishing position though.
For the next one I will make clear rules on draws and banned players.

Well, it's been a good first round. Congratulations to all those who went through. Especially Bus559 with a total of 8 / 8 so far. Well played.
Unfortunately it looks like a player withdrew so there will only be 7 in this round. I am not sure why this happened. In my opinion, if someone withdraws prior to the next round, the next highest scoring player in that group should go through.
Sorry about this folks, I didn't know it would happen that way.
