A tournament to train playing the Slav variation, starting after 9. f4! by White. ALL games are expected to go like this: 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.cxd5 cxd5 4.Nc3 Nf6 5.Bf4 Nc6 6.e3 e6 7.Bd3 Bd6 8.Bxd6 Qxd6 9.f4
Thank you for your effort!
The tournament Slav - 9. f4 has finished, congratulations to billwall, and thank you everyone for contributing to what I thought was a very interesting tournament; a lot of the games actually followed the intended line :-)
Enjoy your chess in 2015!

(Something wrong at chess.com means I have to send this multiple times, I apologise)
Hi, everyone - thanks for signing up for this tournament, which I will start now. The idea is quite ambitious - to explore a Slav opening line that starts after White's 9th move! This is not technically possible to set up, so I ask everyone to adhere to the idea of the tournament - even though this may not be the opening you fancy either for White or Black!

OOps - spelling error!
It doesn't matter as the first moves are done automatically, but Black's 2nd move is c6 and not e6 as stated. Sorry!
