Yep, here's another one. Apparently, the Scandinavian Defense has quite often been used by Grandmasters who don't like to study openings too much, (quite understandably) . I certainly am inclined to believe that since I clearly remember Garry Kasparov playing and winning a game against Anatoly Karpow. Besides, when I first played chess as a teenager, I immediately liked it for it's simplicity and for the fact that the Queen is coming out right away like the commander of an army saying: "Don't mess with my foot soldiers, or else!"
It's something you can't have enough of in life, this thing called: Simplicity. Through it you will arrive at: Synchronicity. So, simplify, simplify, simplify. Life is complicated enough.
This opening response to e4 is bold and courageous, it leads to a quick and sharp play so your earliest moves have a lot of weight right away.
Have fun and ah, you know, take your time!
