I still think "Occassionally Good" is one of the poorest sports on chess.com.  Bring on the highly rated players.  I would love to take you on.

This is great, not only do we have a player rated 2184 is our group, but they are taking 14 days to make every move.

Now it can be argued that since we started this tournament back in the last decade they could have got a lot better, but why take so long per move, do we not have an admin who can kick them out?

Occassionally good?  Occassionally mean!  I look forward to the challenge of playing MWB and AdinZulkarnian in this tournament.  Who knows?  I might just pull off one of the greatest upsets in chess.com history.

Thank you Joseph. I read my comment and it sounds very harsh, I didn't mean to be. I guess all I'm trying to say is, if you've realized you're in a whole different class than we are, you should take pride that you're much better. You should not have to easily crush everyone in this tournament to validate your skill.

It takes away from the tournament if the outcome is just about predetermined. Which, I should say, right now leaves us with the 1900-rated MWB and AdinZulkarnian to finish in 1st and 2nd place.

So, unless they pull out, we should consider 3rd place to be the real 1500-class winner of this tournament.

Thanks again Joseph, I'll send you a challenge to play right now!

I hope mwb21089 (rated 1989 on April 15) and AdinZ (rated 1996 April 30) will also do the honorable thing.

I am sorry if I stayed too long in this tournament. But I didn't have any rating when I registered for the tournament.I had just joined the site and I didn't want to quit my first tournament. Now I know there is no point in continuing,I quit. All the best to you all!!

    ATTENTION PLEASE!

BimalJoseph, your rating today is 1951. You do NOT belong in this tournament for beginners ranked under 1500. AdinZulkarnian, MWB, you both have peaked in ratings near 2000. you do NOT belong in this tournament. You should withdraw.

We all have short winning streaks -- I'm on one right now and it's puffed my rating all the way up to 1550. But honestly, if you're above 1700, this is NOT the right tournament for you. You are taking advantage of beginning players and it is NOT sportsmanlike.

If you are rated over... I don't know, 1750? You should WITHDRAW from the tournament in the interest of SPORTSMANSHIP and FAIR PLAY. Let the players you pushed OUT of the second round have a chance to play with their peers.

    Thank you!

Boring and never ending.  That is how I would surmise this tournament.  Some players are literally only moving once every 14 days.  It's boring!!!!!  Never again!!!!

The three top rate players in this tournament shouldn't have been allowed in. The rating difference between them and the rest of us is very unfair.

These tournaments really should require you to play atleast 10 games before joining,t he 1800+ fellas with 15-0-0 really are kinda missplaced in a sub 1500 tourny.

for one id like to say that all these people so far really rock and i want a rematch because im winning to much i mean comon i dont get how on this tourney my score is much better then my original blitz rateing  (im a 1500 in blitz and 1800 in toruney) idk but for one thing i love it because when people blitz me and win i tell them to look at my real rating (something i can brag about and also something they can brag about cuz they beat me) but what they dont know is that i play better when i have time to think.

Can someone explain how GUDD got into the tournament? According the the requirements set forth by this site, this person has not qualified to enter any tournaments. (has only completed 2 games total). I think that there is some sort of glitch that allowed this person into the tournament and if anyone has noticed hasn't been back to the site since Mar 5. Just wondering how this happened and how this will affect everyone.

Great, I love these tournaments for my rating. Is there a script that removes ppl like GmColor, or do you have to do it manually? Woulnd't be all that fun to be paired up against a person with a USCF rating of 1988 that after 4 wins has a Chess.com online rating of 1629, and that number is probably gonna head straight up like an arrow.
