2020 Lanai Chess Club Player of the Year

The Lanai Chess Club 2020 Player of the year is Kert Shuster. He is the chess team captain on Lanai.

"Chess is life.  Thats what my best friend would tell me all the time.  We would play hours at a time game after game in cafes, parks, forests, and even online.  We didn't care if we won or lost, and our games were light and super fun.  Speed chess or serious chess, we tried every kind of crazy thing we could think of.  So years later we still play everyday online here on Chess.com.  He's right Chess is life and I never get tired of the board, or meeting the people on the other side of it."
