2021 New Year's Championship on lichess!
This upcoming weekend is our 2021 New Year's Championship!

Dates: 1/2-1/3
Round Times: 10, 12, 2 on both days (All times are in PST)

The event will be 6 rounds of 40+5 (A 2 day event)
It will have a free entry, and will be uscf online regular rated
Prizes: 1st: $15, 2nd: $10 1st U1500: $5
1st place on USCF tiebreak will get a certificate

Half Point Byes are available
Half point byes will work by letting me know which round you would like to take a bye in. The server's final standings will not be the final ones for the event. I will publish a manual standings after that, which will include your byes.
Fair Play:
Fair Play is expected in our events. Note a player in our last cash prize event got banned for fair play. All players are supposed to abide lichess' terms of service and the USCF code of ethics. All players who are found to be using assistance will be banned from the club forever. Suspicious players may also be asked to join a zoom. The final standings and the rating report will only be done after 5-7 days after the event in order for the games to be screened.
