Hello fellow ARC members! Atomic_Rift here with another newsletter to update you on all that's happening! First up the "Admin Sweep" as I'm calling it.

null

Clearing the admins, it is actual happening! Inactive admins is an issue that's been alerted to me ever since 2015 yet I didn't not see to properly until now. Exactly 1 month ago I alerted all admins (twice) that they had a whole month to prove or reprove themselves as admins. Just select 1 admin responsibility in the ARC or if it's clear on what you do, I'll move you automatically. I'm not going to be smearing names so I'll just alert you that a total of 8 demotions took place. Why tell everyone about this Admin Sweep? Because the Admin Sweep wasn't just to find the people that are inactive, but to also see the members that shine. There were 3 members that came to my attention the most, and effective immediately (after I release this newsletter), they shall be promoted to SA!

Never have I seen a new member which such vigor. Never have I seen a new admin join 50+ club matches and faithfully comment in several forums daily. Such things put a huge smile on my face because this is such an honour not too many chess.com leaders get to experience. So, even though you are one of the newest editions to the ARC Admins, I fully believe you deserve SA. Job well done.

This person is so active, it's great! It's also nice that I have met Boyang in real life. He was actually exactly how I imagined him, bright and awesome. It is always nice for leaders to have people around him he can trust with power, and Boyang is just that person. Welcome aboard!

I'm going to be completely honest with you. I feel shamed that I haven't already promoted you. QV is the 10th oldest member of the ARC, being with us ever since 2013, almost 4 years ago. Never has QV let me down with not posting in the forums each and every day. It's amazing to have an admin like that. I remember a couple month period where it would be only me and him constantly posting back and forth in the forums. Now that I've got music and have sadly been inactive, QV still posts in the forums. It makes me happy that there are 10+ different people I can think of that comment in the forums with QV now. That kind of faithfulness to a single club without the recognition he deserves, is admirable in the highest sense. I don't see why anyone would be against this, but my final decision is that QV is 2nd-in-command!

Even though this thing only began 2 weeks ago we've already had well over dozens of wins for the ARC! So I'm doing a status check on the CMT rather quickly. (plus, wanted to prove that this is actually happening)

I've come to quick grips on how many players we're going to have turnout for this, so I've made some changes to the prizes (don't worry, I'm never going to decrease the prize amounts)

  1.  $30 payout via PayPal guaranteed
  2.  100 trophies
  3.  50 trophies
  4.  25 trophies
  5.  10 trophies

Please remember, nothing is set in stone yet of course because we've still got 5+ months left to go (ends November 16th), so there is still always hope for you if you're not on yet. Here are the current results though:

TotemMeister - Score: 6.5
3rd

nelosantana - Score: 6
4th

It greatly excites me how far we can go up chess.com's Club Match leaderboard during this time. It also makes me extremely happy to hear that several members are so pumped to play club matches that they think the ARC is ready for it's first LIVE Club Match (of course this would count in the ongoing CMT). What do people think of me continually setting up a Live Club Match every Saturday at a specific time? I would also set up 2 at completely different times, to not  segregate any competitors. We are only at the speculation stage at the moment though and would like to know your thoughts on it. What time control do you like best, what times are you available to play, that sort of thing.
I look forward to reading and replying to your comments soon! Have a great day.
