An Open Letter to All Our Members
Those of you interested in mentoring some of our students should take it upon yourselves to send a friend request to a student (or several) that you might help. Introduce yourself in a note or C.c Message (best). Very young students (K-2) will probably not respond, though their parents may. Older students, who are better readers, may. Some may only want to play with an adult.
I recommend ‘Daily Games’ with a 14-day time-control (our standard), but Live-Rapid games are OK if you can do them. I will be encouraging interested students to contact members of the C&O Club for Adults if they are looking for a mentor, or even just want to play. So be prepared if you get a friend request from a youngster (or parent).
If you are interested in following our ‘curriculum’ guidelines, check out my two principle blogs for all students:

There are also a lot of free .pdf downloads on our C&O Family Chess Center website, on a variety of chess topics. However, these are only for those of you who feel the call to really excel as mentors and coaches. LOL (Don’t feel obligated to let me ‘guilt’ you into anything)
Don't hesitate to Message me with questions, suggestions, or comments.
