New Group for Interested Adults

(6/5/22)  I wanted to give all of you an opportunity to participate in a new project of mine.  I find that 'senior' players and other experienced adults are often receptive to new ideas that younger players (who already ‘know everything’) are unwilling even to consider.

Whether you join, or not, I would be very appreciative of your constructive thoughts, comments, and/or questions, etc.  The newest group is the Non-Aristotelian Chess Club, linked here.  I am hoping to find ways to use the unique human activity of chess to help students (of all ages) free themselves from some of the old ‘aristotelian’ habits of thought that prevent 'clear thinking,' not just in chess, but often in day-to-day life.  It’s true that you may not yet have any idea of what I’m talking about, but if you have the curiosity that many experienced players share, I hope you will check it out and send me some feedback.

If you’re not already a member of the Beyond ‘Just Chess’ group, you may want to check that out, as well.  Neither of these groups is like any other Chess.com club.  They are not normally concerned with matches, tournaments, vote-chess, etc., or even the specifics of improving one's chess specifically.  But they ought to be of interest to many chess players and Chess.com staff because of shared intellectual habits and curiosity.  If I have previously sent you this, individually, I apologize.  I think I must be getting ‘old.’
