An Update on the Super Admin promotion rule
Hi everyone,
I know that most of the members of this club are my chess.com friends (since either before I created this club or after I created this club). And I’m sorry if I was unclear on what is considered “frequently playing with me” (for SA promotion). So, I decided that to measure the “frequency” in order to get promoted to SA in this club is based on the total games we played (regardless of the dates of games). So, for the members that had played a lot of games (like 20+ games) with me before the creation of this club and more specifically before this club was renamed “Elo Climber’s Club”, I’ll make some of you who are currently still active, coordinators for now. And you can get SA if you play like 10 more games with me (time control or variant doesn’t matter). Now, for the new members that I became friends with after the renaming of “Elo Climber’s Club”, you guys just have to play 20+ games with me in total if not already to get SA. Although, if you really, really, want a coordinator (which I think it’s rare, since this club only did like one event all together), then you can simply message me to get it. And for admins, I don’t really think there is a use case for that at the current moment, since there aren’t any bad behaviors in this club, since, again, the club members are mainly my chess.com friends.
Now, I get it that time zones could get in the way of our daily activities, so I can adjust the numbers, as needed. The important thing for me, is not to get as many members as possible, or make the club as active as possible, but rather getting members that are about the same time zone as me and logging on as the time as me, which is in my profile. (But practically speaking, if the members are active in the same time range as me then the club would be more active as a result).
And two more things, just in case:
1. I might of changed the inactive members on chess.com in general or members that are no longer active in the club back to member status once this is posted.
2. Once you are SA or a coordinator, you are able to do these things, which chess.com supports. As long as there is no misconduct or the abuse of your role in the club (just use common sense, which I suppose you guys know), you can use the builtin features of a Super Admin, Admin, Coordinator, and even Member (since they can chat, post notes, etc. under the current club settings)
And that's it for now. Have a great rest of your day!
