Aug 9th, Ready for a Simultaneous Exhibition (by Team!)
Dear Silverdale Chess Players, Families and Friends,
Chess variants can be fun and useful for training purposes.
We think we’ve come up with a new one you might enjoy!
For those who are game, we thought we might try something different at our
next Club meeting which can "sharpen your chess eye” in quickly sizing up a
position by obtaining a quick read of the chessboard, or boards, one after the other.
It’s a "Simultaneous Exhibition" where you are the one giving the
Simul against several Club players, all at the same time.
It’s also a Team Simul! That means that you will be playing alongside
other members of your team who will be making moves, right behind your move,
against the other team's boards.
The situation will then be reversed where you will play the board against the lineup of
the other team’s players as they give the Simul!
