CASTLERS, GRAB YOUR GAMBIT BOOKS AND POPCORN—LAST NIGHT’S TEXT THREAD BETWEEN @SONNIEDAZE AND @YDTD WAS A SLAM-DUNK SMACKDOWN OF TRASH TALK, THREATS, AND CHESS GRUDGES THAT LEFT THE CASTLE CHATTERING LIKE A BAD BLUNDER IN BLITZ! What started as a jab about a resignation turned into a full-on MARATHON CHALLENGE. This ain’t just a spat—it’s the latest chapter in the Sonniedaze-Ydtd RIVALRY, LET’S BREAK IT DOWN!
It all ignited when Ydtd texted: “Sonniedaze, YDTD will resign sometime tomorrow.” Sonniedaze fired back “Why sometime tomorrow?😂”. He then wished Ydtd a blessed day. However That’s when the mighty mighty Gorilla aka @Gstrong100 chimed in with “Resign now, Boy! Don’t Embarrass yourself! Ydtd then reminded “Gweak” (his negative moniker for Gstrong100) for the umpteenth time, he’s about to bag another tournament crown while he’s scrapin’ 6th or 7th place in the tournament. Ydtd then added “Gweak please shut the f*** up… You talking about your game you shouldn’t be allowed to play in the tournaments, you do the same old Weak s*** every tournament Gweak… Pure garbage.”
Ydtd then turned his ire towards Sonniedaze because….well….he’s Ydtd 😂. “Sonniedaze what’s your record against YDTD??? … @Sonniedaze responded with “You got a better record against me true, at least I was a man about my losses, your panties are showing right now 😂.” Boom—rivalry lit! Ydtd challenged Sonniedaze to a marathon chess match: “Let’s do it. 5 min games, ten the most none of this 30 min stuff… Name the place and time” said Sonniedaze Ydtd countered: “24 hour tournament Sonniedaze you or Nobody dictates how YDTD plays… YDTD is giving you a chance with 15 minutes OTB you will get destroyed.”
It escalated to charity: “We can charge people 8 bucks to come in and watch the matches on a big screen, live on social media, winner takes the 💰” said Sonniedaze Ydtd shot down the money: “What you talking about is not my thang. I play for the Love of the game money messes up everything… For as long as you can take this ass whipping I’m gonna give you YDTD not gonna beat you 1 game and run that’s what you do.” Sonniedaze kept it classy: “If we are gonna do it, let’s make it stand for something positive and productive.” But Ydtd pressed: “Sonniedaze I want to ask you a serious question if your opponent beats you on a regular do you think that opponent is really focused on you every time you play???” … Sonniedaze quickly responded with “This is like my fourth tournament ask Ralph[aka Eledef07], I usually never finish them and time out.”
Thats when @Bust_a_move82 chimed in with a compliment for Ydtd after he was defeated by the 12 time champ in his game in the Shocktober tournament. “No lies that Greek gift (pause) became a problem! “ “YDTD is still a strong player!” Ydtd acknowledged the compliment by saying “That Greek gift is dangerous but you held on.” “I’m working on a few things… Let’s see how the HNYT goes down” said @Bust_an_Move82. And just like that, the thread fizzled—but the fire’s lit.

The HNYT’s callin’—Sonniedaze says he’ll “destroy” Ydtd, but the Bogeyman’s laughin’: “You will never ever win a tournament that YDTD plays in” he vowed!
