CCC Mid-Month Reminders!

August is almost over, but we do have a few events coming up within our club or the Utah Chess Association (UCA)!

Upcoming Events:

- (8/19 @ 6PM* MDT) The Tri-Club Arena Blitz!
Our club will be competing in an one hour arena. We will be playing blitz games against the Summit County Library Chess Club, and the SLC Chess Club from the City Library.

- (8/23 - 8/24) 18th Annual Farewell Bobby Fischer:
The UCA is hosting this competitive tournament. This tournament holds an open section with a six round, two-day schedule, and a four round, one-day schedule for the U1600 and U800 sections. 

I’ve already entered and will be playing in the U1600 section .

Entry fee starts at $25, with prizes ranging $50 - $150!

- (8/29) CCC August Quick Tournament:
Our club will be hosting out monthly quick tournament. The tournament is four rounds, with a time-control set at G/10;+5. Play in the USCF-rated section for rated and competitive games, or our Community section to practice unrated games under tournament settings.
