Chess 26/02/2020

Good afternoon everyone! I would like to let you all know what the plans are for chess this coming Wednesday.

This week at Grace we were originally going to revise notation, but I hear that some of you are on camp this week. In that case, we will have to postpone that. 

This week we are just going to play 2 regular tournament games. For those of you that are on camp, you will automatically get 2 half-a-point-byes. 

For this week, Ethan, Jack and Tallis will be receiving 1 bye as well, as I am going to give you guys a group session on an Opening that we are going to be learning. Assuming that this takes 30 minutes, you will be still be able to play 1 game after our session.

On another note, I see that you guys are trying to organize a tournament together among yourselves. This is something that I LOVE to see! I don't think I will have the time to co-ordinate a tournament for you guys, it is something you will all have to do yourselves. So, I love that you guys are trying to get together for that.

Also, make sure you are playing plenty of 10 minute games online! I may be potentially reviewing some of these games with you, so take them seriously!
