Chess Is Moving Back To Parkland Mall This Saturday

Fall greetings to the chess faithful of Red Deer County!

The bathroom facilities at Rotary have closed for the season, so that's my cue to move our little meetup back to Parkland Mall. We may still get some nice weather, but nevertheless chess will be at the mall starting tomorrow, October 12.

Please look for the chess board(s) set up near the fireplace area at the Parkland Mall food court (see photo), starting at 2pm every Saturday afternoon. We usually play from about 2:00-5:00 pm. You can safely assume at least one other person will be there every Saturday around 2pm. If you show up later in the afternoon and don't see anyone, it probably means I got lonely and went back to work!

Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. It's free to join in. We just play for fun - no money or rating points involved. Please do bring a chess set if you have one, but it's not a requirement.

Feel free to message me with any questions or suggestions. But please don't ask, "Is there chess today?" on Saturday. I don't have the chess.com app on my phone so I won't see your message in time. The answer is always yes. I will post on the group wall if I can't make it for some reason.
