Chess Lessons: Discoveries

A discovery is when one piece moves out of the way so a piece behind it can give an attack. You can even move the piece to where it can attack an enemy piece. Here is an example;

1. d5+ Kg8 2. dxe6 taking the queen. Now you know what a discovery is.
