Congratulations for March 19

Many congratulations to my amazing students for their performance at the Scholastic State Championship!

~Sparsh Panja who is now the reigning K-6 state champion!! He won all 6 games, defeated a higher-rated opponent and reached a new rating high of 1371! He has now gained almost 200 points in 1 week
~Eli Samovski who finished in the top ten in K-6 (out of 48 people) and gained rating
~Jacob Corbett who drew against a higher-rated opponent and reached a new rating high! He has now gained almost 600 points in the past 3 months!!
~Shreyas Kota who finished second in ninth grade, only losing 1 game out of 6
~Avyukt Gupta who finished in the top ten in K-5 out of 83 people (he is only in second grade!)
~Aryan Bezawada who drew against an opponent rated 300 points higher and gained rating
~Evan Jin who tied for first in the K-3 section

Additional congratulations to Tejas Kota who won his quad in the Friday tournament, reached a new rating high, and won money!
