COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN LEAGUE 2026 : ROUND 4 vs TEAM CHANNEL ISLANDS

Round 4 and the match I have been looking forward to: The Channel Islands, new boys in the top Division this season. And the reason? An opportunity for a measure of revenge. It's been close to four years, but the loss is still raw. For the new kids on the block, the Channel Islanders narrowly beat us in the 2022 County Championship Knock-Out Cup Final. Fair enough, they played well and secured a narrow win, but it was helped no end by one of our players being found to have breached Fair Play rules.

This season, both clubs are struggling against the top dogs and are still without a win. I think the lower half of the Division will be very close at season's end and could come down to positions being determined by head-to-head results. So, that gives us two very good reasons to chase the win.
