DECISION: Team Ukraine will stay in Division 1

Hi friends.

There has been strong opinions regarding the final calculations made at the cutoff for EL2015 in Division 1, with an outcome that lead to a switch in favor to Team Hungary - Magyar Sakkegylet against Team Ukraine. Complaints has been raised about this.

It seem like many teams and admins in Division 1 feels that most fair would be to let Team Ukraine stay playing in Division 1 for this season.

I also agree to that.

So, we'll let Team Ukraine stay playing in Division 1 for EL2016.

It means that there will be 11 teams playing in Division 1 and only 9 teams playing in Division 2.

Schedule will be accordingly adjusted in order to make this possible.

1. Already started matches in Division 1 and 2 will run and be counted into the results.

2. All matches in Division against Team Ukraine will be postponed/removed.

3. Schedule for Division 1 will be revised according to a proposal which will be announced in this forum later on today. 3 teams bottom teams from Division 1 will be promoted to superior lower division for next season.

4. No further changes when come to rules for this season. Cutoff rules however to be revised in order to ensure that cutoffs are conducted in a better manner next time.
