Updated Feb 2nd - Dublin HS placed 4th in the country at the National Online Scholastic Quick Championships this weekend, led by DHS GOAT and 2019 state HS champion, Evan Ai, who tied for 8th in the country (14th on tiebreak) with 5.5 out of 7 points! Other scorers that helped DHS dramatically improve upon its 11th place finish last year were: Suriya Gnanasundar, Cassius Lai, and Aadith Muthukumar, supported by team members Katherine Pask, Ian Hsu and Sahil Sandasani. The US Amateur Team West tournament will be held during the Feb 19-21st weekend in Santa Clara, with a 1-day scholastic team tournament on Feb 19 for players under 1400 rating, and a 2 or 3-day tournament for players rated above 1200.

Finally, the Superstates tournament, Northern California's annual state championship, will be held in stages in person in Santa Clara this spring. April 23-24 for K-12. More info at BayAreaChess.com
