EL2014 - LAST REPORT BEFORE THE CUTOFF

Soon time to cutoff

This tourney will end up by the cutoff on 2014-12-31.
In practise the cutoff will take place on 2015-01-01 and 2015-01-02.
Even matches which still are on-going and possible could impacting on the final standings will be given priority.

If any doubts about the results, please give a note.

Two matches more will be discounted according to most recent list of all matches: http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/el2014---all-matches

Many matches are still on-going, and some of them can still impacting.
However, no big changes are now expected in the standings in the final end.

Division 1

2 matches more for Team Azerbaijan will be discounted, against Team Croatia and Team Russia.

This will give following:
Team Armenia is leading, followed by Team Russia and Team Germany
Team Azerbaijan has been disqualified.At the moment Team Croatia and Team Poland may will be moved down to Division 2, together with either Srbija Tim or Team Slovakia.

Team England, Team Romania, and Chess Team Holland still fighting about to be the #5.

Division 2

Team Hungary and Team France is leading. Still not ready who will win!
Both seem to move to Division 1, may together with Team Sweden or  Team Turkey (due to the disqualification of Team Azerbaijan in Div 1)

Team Greece, The Albanians, Team Portugal, and Team Italy are in the bottom, and seem to be moved down to Division 3.

Division 3

Team Galicia leading, followed by Team Belgium. Seem to be ready for Division 2 next season. Team Slovenija and Team Norway fighting about to be the #3, and get a spot in Division 2 as well (due to the disqualificiation of Team Azerbaijan in Division 1).

Team Moldova and Team Iceland are in the bottom, and seem to be moved down to Division 4 for next season. Team Ireland, Team Schweiz, and Team Finland is fighting about to stay in Division 3. But two of them will be moved down...

Division 4

Team Georgia leading and seem to be ready for Division 3 next season.
Is followed by Team Lithuania, Team Wales, and Team Estonia. Two of them will be promoted to Division 3.

Northern Ireland and Team MonteNegro are fighting in the bottom, but both seem to have to move down to Division 5 for next season.

Division 5

I will come back about this division.

Next season - EL2015

No big changes are expected in the setup or rules.

There will only playing 10 teams in Division 1 for next season, and the promotions will be setup so that there will be only 10 teams playing in Division 2 for the very next season (EL2016). Some adjustments of match sizes will be applied as well as the match schedule.

Next season aiming to start by the  11th of January.
