7/8th of November 2013
Prel. proposal for Tournament Setup and Rules for EL 2014 announced towards EL2013 and European Chess Federation audience. Audience is welcome discussing and proposed changes in setup & rules.

19th of December 2013
Deadline for setup & rules discussions above.

31st of December 2013
Cutoff EL2013.

4/5th of January 2014
Announcement of Final Standings for EL2013 and Tournament Start for EL2014.
(Setup&rules for EL2014 are finally in place.)

6th of January 2014
EL2014 starts.

Prel. information regarding EL2014 Tournament Setup and Rules

In general is proposed for EL2014 setup:
- mainly use the same setup as in EL2013, with some changes and improvements applied;
- A change of Division 4 and 5 is needed. Too few teams in Division 5 gave prior to the tourney this season.
- For EL2015 (the next season after EL2014) would some fewer teams playing in some of the divisions. For EL2014 means that some few more teams would have to move down from divisions then move up compared for in EL2013.

In general is following changes proposed for the EL2014 rules:
- simplify/clarify the rules as much as possible
- keep best practises besides and apart from rules
- consider possible alignment towards WL and AL

Some rules changes may to be decided through votations before next season starts.

However, more next about this prel. on 7/8th of November.
