It mut be noted that when studying endgames we accept White as the side that plays to win(attacking side) and Black as the side that plays for the draw(defending side).So when white has the move it's to win , when black has the move it's to draw.That only changes when we have a position that is from a game.In that case it will be specified("Black to play and win"or "White to play and draw")

    Without specification it's always "White to win"(if white has the move) , "Black to draw"(if black has the move).
