Evans Gambit

The Evans Gambit comes from the Giuoco Piano Game. It goes like: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5 4. b4. It is a risky gambit that sacrifices a pawn to kick the black bishop off its diagonal. The compensation for the pawn is massive central control and rapid, aggressive development. The position on the board is below:
