I remember when this club was "active" No club on chess.com has genuinely been active consistently and run tournaments with more than 4 people. Sad. I'm personally going into high school. I have summer homework for advanced English Anyways. Who do you got? Wolves vs Mavs and Celtics vs pacers. Here's my prediction The timberwolves have really good defense. Rudy is playing good defense but has little offensive capability. He goes in the dunker spot primarily and takes his shots there. We are not considering that crazy turnaround jumper ( over jokic ) that had the whole Denver crowd stunned. That was literally the only part I missed in the second half. Point is. The wolves are anchored by Rudy Robert, Karl Anthony towns, Anthony Edwards, and their league best bench rotation (in my opinion.) Naz reid's play style is similar to a guard while being extremely tall and very versatile. The timberwolves's defensive identity locked up Jamal Murray with steals and easy baskets. The timberwolves have to be consistent. Consistency is key. Karl Anthony towns is far from that. The bench players are almost always outstanding. I personally have Wolves in 6. The wolves' 3 games they win will be with ease, until the closeout game 6 which will be close but end up with a wolves win. The Mavs will win 2 games because of good shooting and inconsistent timberwolves players/plaYER. KARL ANTHONY TOWNS. He brings a lot to the table. A 7 foot tall lights out shooter from top of the key. He is the best shooter in the NBA from the top of the key. The main problem for Dallas will be matchups. I can see luka on ant. He's cooked. Ant is destroying him on step backs. So will luka if the wolves play man defense. They usually don't unless they are being cat piss on d. Who is guarding Rudy gobert at the dunker spot. Let's see. Dereck lively. Ok, that's fine. Daniel Gafford. Ok. ( rudy's getting locked up) Who is guarding kat? JOSH GREEN? HELL NO. I completely see a takeover of Karl Anthony towns. One thing is that KAT shoots the ball a lot more than his teammates. Including ant. which makes it hard on them if he's not shooting particularly well. Wolves in 6 Celtics 1 seed. not serious porzingis at stake ( out from calf) pacers are good, just lucky with Knicks injuries. I'm being dead serious. Celtics in 6. Indiana is very fast paced and with a dog Celtics defense will cook them on fast break points. Otherwise, I see pascal feasting on midrangers and Myles Turner doing well. From what ive seen boston doesn't like closing out. Pacers can shoot. The Celtics on offense are cooking with juggernaut weapons. I think I'm glazing the pacers too much from saying Celtics in 6. I don't like the Celtics ( obviously ) but they are going to win if jaylen brown doesn't turn into a piece of hot trash. Hanging pawns are very bad, it is a pawn that is not protected by other pawns. You also don't want stronger pieces like rooks to protect them. You should use the stronger pieces to attack. I hanging pawn is also sometimes called isolated pawns because they're isolated from other pawns.

The concept of good bishops and bad bishops is something very minor that can make a significant advantage or even winning the game. So, what did i mean by good and bad bishops? Taking a look at this position below, white's bishop is very bad. What do i mean about this? Look at white's pawns, they are all fixed on dark squares and white has a dark squared bishop. The pawns block the bishop from ever getting into the Black position. This technically doesn't lower the bishop's true value in points but his value indirectly diminished because of the pawns. Now take a look at Black's dark squared bishop. He is considered the good bishop. Black's pawns are fixed on light squares meaning that they don't get in the way of the bishop. This gives great light square control by the pawns and great dark square control by the bishop. White does have excellent dark square control but is very weak on the light. Due to having the better bishop, black was able to capture the H pawn and win the game.
