Field Trip TIme!

Ok here are the details for upcoming field trip from Poor Rich's Chess Club.

We will be traveling to the historic St. Pete Chess Club on Saturday April 20th. We will be leaving around 9am from Spring Hill. We expect to return around 8pm, but that could be affected by where and when and if we stop for dinner. It will be an all day experience.

Tournament info:

This is a rated USCF tournament (thus a USCF membership is required, but can be purchased on site)

the USCF membership is $40.00 and is good for 12 months

the entry fee for the tournament is $25.00

The tournament is 4 rounds (so you should be paired and play 4 times, there were no byes last month but you never know)

time controls are G40 d5, so 40 minutes on the clock for each player with a 5 second delay for each move. If you have a clock, bring it, if not there are usually enough to share.

We typically car pool, so if you are not keen on driving, not to worry ride with one of us!
