Final Call Before Round One! (LWL Reminder)

This is a last call to sign up before the first round of our City Creek Chess Late Winter League (CCC LWL ‘26)! Sign-ups for round one officially close 15 minutes prior to the start time of 8 p.m. We currently have 10 players signed up, with more expected to enter after round one, giving us a wide range of skills in this season’s league!

Currently, we have eight players signed up for the USCF section. This includes tough competitors who’ve made the jump from club play to nationally rated games, like Tate Alexander and Calder Feinstein. We’re also looking at the longtime return of club regular, Trey Opp!

In round one, many are taking a BYE, giving major chances to win to players who win tomorrow, and even for late entrants! We may expect some changes, but currently see:

Dereck Pennington vs. Daniel Avila
Tate Alexander vs. Calder Feinstein
and Trey Opp vs. Connor Park, in a club-rated house game.
