Hi! Here I will provide an overview of all prior stated information and all new information.
When will the event start?
The event will start tomorrow at 2pm UTC. This is 9am CST, 3pm GMT, 4pm CET, 5pm EEST/AST (Arabian Standard Time) and 6pm AZT. If you want to know the time for anoter timezone please ask below.
How will your answers lead to winning the escape room?
You will receive the puzzles as images. I will tell you if it's black or white to move and how many moves you need to find. When you have the moves correct I'll give you a letter. Each set of puzzles will give you a word until you have a sentence. This sentence will be the key to win the prizes.
How will the posted be shared with you?
1st puzzle:
Tomorrow I will post the first puzzle in an announcement. The announcement will roughly look like this-
Here's the first puzzle:
Black to move. There are three moves for black to do. Please send me your answer in messages with a diagram or in chat with annotations.
All puzzles after the first one:
I will send the puzzle to you in messages. Everything else will be the same as for the first puzzle,
What if I answer incorrectly?
If you answer a puzzle incorrectly, no worries. You are still in the competition. Yoou can try again and again to get the right answer, however long it takes you.
What are the prizes?
For 1st place:
The 1st place winner will win a 1st place trophy they can put in their profile. The winner can also select one of the following prizes: 100 cheers of their liking, 5 unrated games with me in a time control of choice, an empty club to use or a chance to advertise their club in my club once.
For 2nd place:
The 2nd place winner will win a 2nd place trophy they can put in their profile. The runner up can also select one of the following prizes: 50 cheers of their liking or 3 unrated games with me in a time control of choice.
For 3rd place:
The 3rd place winner will win a 3rd place trophy they can put in their profile. The second runner up can also select one of the following prizes: 10 cheers of their liking or 1 unrated game with me in a time control of choice.
