India vs England - 1st Test - Day One, Two and Three
The test is evenly poised going into day 4.
Day 1 saw a dominant display by Indian batters firstly Rahul and Jaiswal before losing 2 wickets in as many overs seeing Sudharsan out cheaply for a duck. Gill and Jaiswal kept the pain coming for the English both bringing up tons. Day 2 saw a good early start by India putting on 100 runs in the morning session before losing 6 for 41 to quality from Stokes and Tongue under good overcast conditions for bowling.
England batted back and there was early signs that the Indians would be relying on Bumrah a lot this series as he was the only one looking even remotely threatening despite the excellent bowling conditions.
Watching from Australia I actually missed the Crawley dismissal due to overestimating a rain break and watching a Joey Chesnut documentary, yes the professional food eater.
Root looked very shaky and didn't even look like getting past 20 he was out for 28. as Ollie Pope hammed home a ton with a 50 to Duckett as England scored more then 20 runs for every batter until there number 10 (excluding Crawley's 4).
Brook was heartbreakingly out for 99 after being caught for a duck on a Bumrah no ball earlier on in the innings.
Jaiswal went early in the Indian second innings before a solid partnership Rahul and Sudharasan built a platform before Sudharasan's dismissal for 30.
