
Jamestown Obliterates Colgan in Inaugural Match
Jamestown (1-0) won a decisive victory over the Colgan Chess Club (0-1) Sunday afternoon. Led at board one by club founder and coach ben_d_sheriff. Winning in 44 and 24 moves, he executed well with both colors. GBellz, at board two, won two quick games. Both games were won in 5 moves and Garrett gave El Verdiblanco a quick lead. Board 3, Starfawks, clinched the match for the Eagles after two quick wins. His quickness allowed for the match to be clinched within 10 minutes. The Eagles were coached by ben_d_sheriff, whose career record improves to 1-0. Playing in their first ever match, the Eagles proved their superiority over fellow newcomers Colgan High School. GBellz earned the MVP award for his two quick victories which gave Jamestown an insurmountable lead. The Eagles will be back in action soon, time TBA.
