If you join the ECF you can also join our chess.com ECF members club – https://www.chess.com/club/english-chess-federation-members which is for ECF members only and runs weekly tournaments and regular national and international online events on chess.com. Whatever your level, there are regular opportunities to be a part of the England team! The regular club tournaments enable you to get an official ECF online rating based on games in ECF club and other registered events https://www.ecfrating.org.uk/v2/new/list_players.php
Over the Board Chess As the national body for chess in England we are also looking to help players who want to play face to face over the board chess.
There are a host of Over the Board Chess Clubs up and down the country and you should be able to find one near you in our club finder - https://ecf.azolve.com/clubfinder.htm Your local club will generally provide a range of friendly club nights, coaching, competitions and the opportunity to play in local leagues.
