Kids & Amateur #1 and Pawn Storm #4
This Saturday will be the first of hopefully a weekly series of tournaments specifically targeting children and adults rated under 1400 Chess.com rapid rating. The Kids & Amateur event begins at 1:30 PM. Come to play four rounds of G/10 with an increment of 3 seconds added after each move. If you are rated under 1200 USCF, then this is your tournament. If you are rated over 1400 USCF, then I strongly urge you to play the Pawn Storm starting at 3:00 PM. If your USCF rating falls in between, then find your Chess.com rapid rating to check whether you are eligible (under 1400).
The regular Pawn Storm kicks off at the usual time - Saturday at 3:00 PM. There is no rating restriction and participants in the Kids & Amateur may choose to play in both tournaments for up to nine games. You may join the Pawn Storm after 3:00 with a zero point bye for the rounds you missed.
I repeat my offer from last week. Any player rated under 2000 USCF who beats or draws a master gets their game published in the report. Congrats to championps for drawing me last week.
