Library Swiss and U1000 daily tournament

As some of you may know, we've been playing some over the board games with local kids at the Chelsea District Library on Tuesday afternoons after school. Yesterday, we tried out the Swiss tournament format to see if the kids would like it and it was a big hit. The image on top of this announcement shows how that went. The kids liked it enough, that we're going to do it again next week!

In other news, I opened up a daily tournament with the format that you're all used to but this time with a rating cap of 1000 (daily) my hope is that this will open up the podium to some of the newer players, and keep them from waiting around so much as the open format has our most experienced players playing many more games than the less experienced ones (basically the opposite of what we want).
