List of things to be done BEFORE the BETA UCC starts!

Hey everyone! 

WE ALL WANT to start the BETA UCC as soon as possible! So here's a list of things to be done in order to start this exciting event!

1. Gather 16 Teams(Club Teams or Standard Teams).

We need to find 16 Teams somewhere! Please create a Club Team in your club if you can or ask your friend to do it) We won't be able to run BETA UCC without Teams!

2. Find organizers.

Another important part of the BETA UCC preparation is to find skillful and active Organizers

Who is an Organizer? He, obviously, helps to ORGANIZE BETA UCC properly and, moreover, will be able to participate in it(no cheating, please! happy.png). Here's the list of Organizers for the BETA UCC:

- 3 Pairings Team Members. They post regular news threads with pairings for the current gameweek. The first one creates the news thread, copies everything from the previous Pairings news thread, changes the names of the Teams(who plays whom) and Players, changes the dates of deadlines. After that, the second member of the Pairings Team checks the Actions forum and update the Teams' Rosters. The third member of the Pairings Team will check the whole news thread, find and correct mistakes(if any) and tell the first member to publish the news thread. 

- Four Referees. They will need to spectate every match and guide the participants(tell them the match format and time control, start time, their opponents). Each Referee will "control" several timezones(according to their timezone). I hope we can create a group chat and agree about the timezone for each Referee!

- Stats Team. Another important thing(especially as a preparation for the main UCC Season) is Statistics. It includes:

  • Players Stats. Wins, Draws, Losses in each time control. Points in all matches. Average points per match. Basically, anything you would like)
  • Team Stats. Wins, Draws, Losses in matches. Number of matches. Points scored in matches. Average points per match. Rapid, Blitz, and Bullet segments points. Percentage of Rapid, Blitz, and Bullet segments won by the Team.

Honestly, my head goes round right now, so I can't think of more Stats which we have to track. Add your ideas in the comments section!

Stats Team will work in a special Google Sheet(I will create one before the BETA UCC). There's no fixed number of the Stats Team members. However, there should be at least three of them.

3. Find Streamers, Bloggers, etc.

Finally, we need Streamers, who stream regularly and can get online at any time during their "activity period". Moreover, the stream quality needs to be more or less watchable. 

Bloggers(on Chess.com/YouTube/social media) write articles about the previous Gameweeks, cover United Chess Competitions events, and(why not?) interview Players and Team Leaders!

Of course, I don't expect a lot of Streamers or Bloggers at this part of our UCC journey but I HOPE that we'll see them sometimes!

That's pretty much everything we need to do in order to start the BETA UCC! Again, I could miss something, so please let me know in the comments section!
