"Master Advice" Now Available To Beta Members For Testing

Update: Thanks to all who have tried this feature! It's now being tested with a sample of users across Chess.com and is no longer testing in Beta.

Have you ever had a nagging chess improvement question for which you just couldn't find the answer? Google didn't help. ChatpGPT was worse, and hiring a coach for a simple question just wasn't an option.

If this sounds familiar, we would love for you to try out our newest feature in testing: "Master Advice". Available in the sidebar on the bottom left, next to our support features, Master Advice will connect you to one of Chess.com's trusted coaches in a secure chat session where you can post your question and receive interactive guidance and feedback.

We hope that Master Advice can be a great aid to members seeking to improve. Here are some of the best ways to use Master Advice.

  • get personalized recommendations on how to improve your game
  • receive guidance on the right content and training tools for you based on what you’re trying to learn.
  • get high-level feedback on a specific game
  • request opening recommendations based on your past performance

Do note that Master Advice isn't meant to replace the capabilities of a dedicated chess coach, and absolutely nothing is as important to improvement as your own dedication, practice, and study. Here are some things for which Master Advice isn't intended.

  • anything resembling an in-depth coaching session
  • detailed game or position analysis
  • help with technical issues, account issues, or restrictions. For such inquiries, please contact our Support team instead at chess.com/support.

Master Advice is in testing now exclusively for all beta members for a short period, and we would love for you to try it out and share your feedback in the comments! We are not yet certain how Master Advice may be integrated into our product offerings so your feedback may have a big impact on how or whether we launch Master Advice on Chess.com.
