Master the Geometry of Chess Tactics
Dear Chess Friends!
This Sunday, we're diving into one of the most elegant tactical ideas in chess. Once you learn to spot it, you’ll start seeing opportunities everywhere on the board.
It’s the idea of crossing lines — verticals, horizontals, and diagonals intersecting to create tactical pressure. While we all know forks, pins, discovered attacks, and mating nets, few players truly understand how these motifs emerge from simple line control.
In this workshop, I will walk you through some of the most powerful tactical setups that happen when your pieces work across multiple lines. You’ll see how queens, rooks, bishops, and even knights become lethal once placed at the right crossing point. You’ll learn not only to recognize the classic pins and forks, but also how to coordinate your pieces to create them — turning potential into pressure, and pressure into wins.
