MINUTES

Thursday, November 20, 2008  ~  12:15 PM  ~  Library

Attendance:  Charles Aldrich (Vice-President), Brian Beecher (Advisor), Ryan Hauri, Megan Lueck, Melissa Lueck (Secretary).

2. Meeting called to order at 12:20 p.m.
3. Minutes Approved / Agenda approved.
4. Old Business.       
   1. Nick French’s Opening Lecture.

                                                              i.      Still need date commitment from Nick.

   1. Jordan’s pricelist: Tabled.
   2. Chess.com

                                                              i.      Tournament 3 is going to start soon.  We have 11 people registered, so there is one opening.  The tournament is likely to start later in the day.

                                                            ii.      Our team has been challenged by Smiling Assassins (England).  7 people on each side can register to play and invites will go out to the top 14 (after registration is over, the top 7 registered will play).

   1. Janesville Craig Challenge: Nothing new to report.
   2. Turkey Tournament (day after thanksgiving)

                                                              i.      Brian will get a letter ready for Taco Bell.  It will start at 8 a.m.  Depending on the number of participants, it will probably be conducted in round robin style.
