My tips for being a 1200 (1)

Ok here are my tips for being a 1200 in rapid, firstly you need to have a staple opening, what I mean is an opening you always play with, like for example mines is the Italien game, I love playing it, a lot of beginners do though! Because this opening is sometimes tricky and there’s a lot of trap in this opening, I really recommend you to study this opening hard! Ok the next one is that, you should play at least 100 games with your opening in rapid and make sure to analyse them all, better every day one game or two if you wish! Then you will know a lot of Defense and attack in this opening, it’s ok if you lost, because It means that you learned something new!🥳 Well that’s when my rating was about 700 to 800! But then I can’t improve anymore, why? because i don’t know any tactics! Yes tactics, you definitely need tactic to win a game! Tactic is when you carefully set up a position and tries to win material! For example in this position, what’s the winning move?

The correct move is the pawn on the b column move up one square, now it attacks a bishop and a rook, the bishop can’t take the pawn, because it’s defended by your rook, therefore in the end, you can either take the rook or their bishop and then you’re in a winning position!

This skill is really important, you can practise this by using the chess.com puzzles! If you really want to be better at chess very quickly, I recommend you to buy membership platinuim! 
Also, but not usually, you can learn a chess trap and use it when you’re playing! Sometimes your rating can increase a lot but it’s also risky!
