Hello Beta community! We’re very pleased to announce Courses! Courses bring the power of Chessable to Chess.com.

More in-depth and powerful than Lessons, Courses combine training software with video and text explanations to help you improve virtually any part of your game. And the material is all brought to you by the world’s best players and coaches.

Whether you’re looking to memorize openings, master your theoretical endgames, or perfect your tactical recognition, there’s going to be a Course to help you out.

Courses’ training algorithm - MoveTrainer - is based on spaced repetition learning. This means that you’ll be quizzed on anything you learn in a course through increasingly longer time intervals to make sure you retain your new skills over the long run.

Those familiar with Chessable will already know how Courses work. But whether you know Chessable or not, we hope to hear your feedback, as we’ve significantly overhauled the user interface and experience to adapt Chessable courses to Chess.com. In the future, we look forward to extending the power of Courses by integrating them more closely with Chess.com’s features including Game Review (see feedback from Coach about where you left your Course!), Analysis, and more.

Courses by Chessable now available on Chess.com!
Try free Courses by Chessable today!

We’re starting with hundreds of free Chessable courses - known as Short & Sweet courses and Free Lessons. You can start learning today by going to chess.com/courses or by going to “Courses by Chessable” under Learn on the navigation bar. While Courses is testing in Beta, all current courses are free to Beta members. Once courses are launched on site, free courses will be available to Diamond members. Diamond members will also be able to get a discount on all course purchases.

Best regards,
The Chess.com and Chessable team
