Avaniyup was promoted to super admin and took on the job of Partner Clubber, overseeing all club partnerships.
Opportunities This Week:
DAILY VOTE CHESSER: We are still hiring for the position of Daily Vote Chesser. This job is a low time commitment, involving starting Vote Chess matches, accepting challenges, and monitoring all active matches. In effect, you'll get promoted, start a few matches now and then as needed, and participate in the vote chess games. If you wish to apply (and win 10 years of good luck) DM MrOOFChess today.
BANNER: This week, we released the official Puppet World Domination Banner. This can be found in the club description, or you can head on over to the announcement "Club Banner" for extra details.
ICONIC PUPPETS: We currently have a vote going on. Find the announcement called "Iconic Puppets" to check it out.
CHALLENGE: The club currently has 90 members! I have a challenge this week which all of you can participate in: Reach 105 Members. BEFORE CONTINUING, PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT GUIDELINES:
1. NO SPAMMING. We definitely want all of you to promote the club, if you feel inclined to do so. But please do not make several forum posts (or similar) advertising the club. This will annoy potential club members. It could also lead to a violation of the forum rules. Your integrity, and the integrity of the club, is important to us.
2. NO HIJACKING SOMEONE'S FORUM: If you want to advertise for the club, please do not go into someone else's forum post and start advertising there. Again, this will annoy other people. They might even report you if they get annoyed enough.
3. SAFE BET, DM PEOPLE: A good way to invite others to a club is to DM them a link to the club that you're advertising for. If you want to be really polite, you could ask that person if they are ok with you inviting them to a club.
4. SAFE BET, ONE FORUM: A good idea for advertising is to create one forum post under the topic "Clubs and Teams." You could then let everyone in the club know that you've created this post and have them come on over and show their support in the comments. This will create an active forum post, which people will be more likely to see. And if they see that several members of the club are commenting they will be more likely to join.
5. GIVE DETAILS: When advertising for a club, give details. It's boring to create a post which says, "Hey, will you guys join this club [insert link]?" That's not likely to attract people. Tell them the good points about the club. "We have active games." "We're hiring for a position, maybe you could get it." "Like attention? All new members get a shout-out!"
