Opening Advice

Sorry everyone I have not been active for a while. I am extremely busy. However, I am going to give you all some very basic advice for those of you just starting to learn. The basic rules of thumb are(there are exceptions): gain control of the center with your pieces and pawns, develop quickly, and try to get your king to safety. The more space you control the more maneuverability you have. If you have developed your pieces early on, this gives you more chances to attack the enemy king when it is still in the center. If you get your king to safety, you are less vunerable to swift attack and get checkmated in a few moves. Thanks for reading!
